Above all, it frees up space for storage and for the location of the smartphone’s wireless charging system. Elevated for improved driving position ergonomics and to make the gear lever easier to manoeuvre, its latest embodiment gives the passenger compartment a more streamlined experience. The floating centre console is a key component of the All-New Captur’s Smart Cockpit. The analogue displays from the previous version have also been replaced with a digitally configured screen. The multi-sense drive modes allow one to customise the drive to suit the mood, from ECO to NORMAL through to SPORT mode, while the subtle ambient lighting within the cockpit mirrors the selected mode. Plus, there’s a convenient STOP/START button for an effortless driving experience. One doesn’t need to remove the key card when opening and closing the vehicle. The hands-free key card is the ultimate in convenience. The Renault EASY LINK multimedia system presents an all-connected and customised multimedia experience, onboard navigation and infotainment services. The slightly curved portrait tablet brings a distinct modernity to the passenger compartment, with its curvature – angled towards the driver – improving the legibility of its screen. The Smart Cockpit offers best-in-class in Renault technology, such as the prominent 9.3ﱢ multimedia screen, which is one of the largest in the segment. Standard passive safety features include high-efficiency front airbags, head/chest side bags, seat belts with pretensioners and force limiters (front seats), anti-submarining front seats, anti-whiplash head rests and force limiter function (rear side seats) Three ISOFIX 3-point child seat anchor seat attachments are fitted to the front passenger and rear side seats. ![]() At the same time Traffic Sign recognition with speed limit warning the front camera on the windscreen to combine GPS data, for even greater accuracy. Blind Spot Warning assists the driver to avoid a collision by detecting vehicles in the blind spot area when changing lanes. Other standard safety support features include Lane Departure warning technology, which reduces risks, especially on long motorway journeys, where lane changing is one of the leading causes of accidents, as well as cruise control and speed limiter which are accessible through the control buttons on the left-hand side of the steering wheel. The Captur still offers front and rear park assist with the reverse camera, to facilitate easier reversing into and out of parking spaces. The All-New Renault Captur holds a prestigious 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating with six airbags & Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Anti-Locking Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), and Hill Start Assist (HSA). The bold 17” wheels and new bodywork volumes contribute to its striking design, with the unique bi-tone colour combinations on the Intens model, adding to its imposing SUV look. Beneath the wider grille, the very expressive front bumper of the All-New Captur reinforces its personality and dynamism, enhanced by its high ground clearance of 174mm. The SUV aesthetics have been boosted by unique styling components, such as the front and rear protection skid plates and the protective moulding that runs the entire length of the lower body and the wheel arches. Through its enhanced SUV styling, the Renault Captur is notably more modern in design, putting forward more athletic curves and a raised waist.
